map-based search -- can't constrain for the current catalog

Selecting 'map' as a search option (beneath the text box, upper left) doesn't seem to have any effect on the search results.
The search on the map page doesn't include the CINERGI catalog as a search target (as far as I can tell...)-- choices are 'California Geoportal', 'USGIN geoportal' and 'Geoportal sandbox'.
Shouldn't it default to the current catalog?
