The City of Toronto is divided into wards that are established by City Council. This dataset includes:
- the current boundaries for the City of Toronto's 44 municipal wards that are in effect until November 30, 2018.
- the future boundaries for the City of Toronto's 47 municipal wards that will be used to conduct the 2018 general municipal election and will come into force on December 1, 2018.
Format: ESRI Shapefile (MTM3 Zone 10, WGS84).
The data is owned by the City Clerk and can be accessed on the City of Toronto's Open Data Catalogue.
The ward boundaries provide a common level of geography for different analyses that can be conducted across the city.
