arcapollo - ARChive APOLLO

A simple Bash script for archiving seismic MiniSEED data files after completing them and repacking them into 4096-bytes records. This project uses a modular architecture with a main script (arcapollo.sh) acting as a front-controller:

  • arcapollo.sh: The main script (entry point). It parses command-line options and delegates execution to the appropriate sub-script.
  • arcapollo-ws.sh: Specialized script for web service processing.
  • arcapollo-fd.sh: Specialized script for field data processing.

This project uses external compiled programs and configuration files to perform its tasks.

Requirements

Make sure wget is installed and available in your '$PATH' and to update the paths of the other binaries in 'arcapollo.cfg'.

Installation

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/IPGP/arcapollo.git
cd arcapollo

Copy the example configurations files:

cp example.cfg arcapollo.cfg
cp stations/NET_STA.example stations/<NET_STA>.cfg

Then edit the .cfg files according to your setup.

Usage

1. Web Service Mode (arcapollo-ws)

Process data from yesterday for all stations:

./arcapollo.sh ws --days 1

Process data from 7 days ago for specific stations:

./arcapollo.sh ws --days 7 --station "NET_STA1 NET_STA2"

2. Field Data Mode (arcapollo-fd)

Process a directory of MiniSEED files manually collected:

./arcapollo.sh fd /mnt/data/20251001_STATION

For general help or sub-command help:

./arcapollo.sh --help
./arcapollo.sh ws --help
./arcapollo.sh fd --help
