When printing is paused its not possible to change filament

Im on firmware 2.5.23 and when i want to replace the filament because the spool is getting empty i have to do it manually.
Please enable filament chaning while the printing is paused, especially if it is already supported, when the spool is empty.
When i print something overnight i dont want the printer to stop half of the night, because the filament is empty.
