Description of the Feature Request
When users visit the Full Stack JavaScript path page, they should be able to read consistent and standardized descriptions for all courses within the path.
To illustrate this structure, the current description of the JavaScript course serves as a good reference:
"Make your websites dynamic and interactive with JavaScript!"
Purpose: States the course’s main focus: teaching students how to make websites dynamic and interactive.
"You'll create features and standalone applications."
Learning Objectives: It gives learners a clear idea of what they’ll accomplish by the end of the course.
"This module includes projects where you will learn how to manipulate the DOM, use object-oriented programming principles, and fetch real-world data using APIs."
Content: This outlines the specific topics and skills that will be covered.
Currently, the descriptions for the following courses could be improved to match this level of detail and consistency:
Intermediate HTML and CSS: The description is too brief, only providing a general idea of the content without specific mention of the key topics.
Advanced HTML and CSS: Similar to the previous module, this description lacks detailed examples of what makes it "advanced".
React: While the description mentions React as a popular JavaScript library, it doesn’t elaborate on what specific skills or projects students will work on.
While these modules provide a general idea of their content, their descriptions are shorter and less descriptive compared to others in the path, like JavaScript.
Acceptance criteria
Rewritten descriptions include specific examples of the topics, technologies, and skills learners will gain.
Purpose: A concise opening sentence introducing the course.
Content: Key skills or topics covered.
Learning Objectives: What learners will achieve.
Each description is between 40-60 words, ensuring enough detail without being overly verbose.
