Ok, this looks good. I wonder, though, if we should modify the label_extended for CanRCM5-SN (#42), to make explicit the spectral nudging there.

Also, now it is not clear which simulations are planned with this model and which ones with the SN version. We never updated the simulation status for this model and it said CanRCM5 (without the -SN). Please, check:

https://wcrp-cordex.github.io/simulation-status/CMIP6_downscaling_plans.html?search.search=canrcm5

and update the status, expected completion dates and, especially, which model will be used. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick feedback. We understand that, under the new CORDEX-CMIP6 guidelines, all RCMs employing spectral nudging must include the "-SN" suffix in their name/label/source_id. Accordingly, any NetCDF files containing output from RCM simulations will reflect the model's source_id. The inclusion or omission of the "-SN" suffix would then seem explicitly indicate whether spectral nudging was applied.

Regarding the label_extended field, we did not find specific guidelines addressing this. If it is deemed necessary to include a spectral nudging indicator in this field as well, feel free to make the modification or provide instructions on what we should add and we will make the change.

Only a limited number of spectrally nudged runs will be performed with CanRCM5. These may include two evaluation simulations: one with spectral nudging and one without. For all other runs listed in the table https://wcrp-cordex.github.io/simulation-status/CMIP6_downscaling_plans.html?search.search=canrcm5, as indicated by "rcm_name=CanRCM5," spectral nudging will not be employed.
