What?

The plugin releases are (apparently) named after its release date:
https://github.com/WordPress/theme-check/releases

Should we move to semantic versioning release version names?

Why?

  • Semantic versioning names are more precise for the users than a date.
  • Follows related community plugin conventions. Example Create Block Theme
