It would be amazing if remote had different modes like importing all your picked up stuff automatically to storage etc

Simple Network Storage have a couple of items related to this:

A "network collector" that automatically sends picked up items into the network. Right now it sends all items. It would be better with filter.
A "picker" that you can use on a world block to retrieve a stack (or one) of it from the network.
A "builder" that you can bind to a block and then use to place that block into the world.
