Browser Extension in Brave freezes when trying to setup simplelogin as email forwarding service for username generation

Steps To Reproduce

1. Unlock extension with passwort
2. Click on "+ New" to create a new login entry, click on login credentials (don't know exactly what that is called in English)
3. Click on the symbol to the right of the username field (circling arrows)
4. Click on "forwarded alias"
5. Choose SimpleLogin from "service" pull-down menu
6. Done, it's frozen and requires a browser restart to recover

Expected Result

Expected would be to be able to click into the field to enter the API-key to generate email-aliases for new logins.

Actual Result

Since the extension is frozen, using the extension becomes impossible. From that time on, even filling existing login credentials is not possible anymore. Browser restart required.

Bug appears in Brave, not in Firefox and not in Edge, however, my Edge Extension is not yet updated to the latest version.

The same happens for duckduckgo alias generation. Simply going to the alias generator page is enough to freeze the extension and the entire browser (Firefox latest)
