Problem

Vite Ma Dose has nice metrics on its homepage:

And also a page with statistics.

I deactivated both of them all to launch Jag Vill Ha Vaccin but it should be pretty simple to adapt them.

Suggested solution

  • Get some GeoJson för Swedish regions
  • Get the code that calculates these metrics from Vite Ma Dose (seems to be here). We use the same format to store times per region so it should be really easy to reuse it.

Hello @PierreMesure. I would like to help. I saw that @abulascruz have already done some work on this issue. The stats on the page is already live.

As far as I understand, detail page with statistics (graphs, maps etc.) is missing. If this is the case, I am newbie developer but I can do as much as possible to create this detail page with statistics.

As a summary, in order to create detail page, when I look at the /data/output/stats.json file,

  • I see that the data in this file can be used to create two maps image. The only need is GeoJson för Swedish regions.
  • However, historical data for two bar charts is not currently available

Hi @sinansonmez, it's nice of you to want to help! Ana has already worked a bit on the graphs and maps but hasn't published her code. Maybe she could get in touch with you when she comes back from holidays?

You're welcome to help on this project of course but I need to inform you that it isn't used by too many people anymore.

Hey @PierreMesure.

It is ok that not many people using it anymore. I just would like to contribute to the project. Lets see what Ana has already done.

EDIT: If you have/ know any other social projects which needs any help, please let me know. I am currently enrolled in bootcamp and learning web development (Ruby on Rails, React, HTML, CSS, JS, SQL). I also have some basic experience with android development (in kotlin)

All the best

If you liked this project, maybe ViteMaDose will be interesting for you? It's JagVillHaVaccin's elder sibling and way more active since the service is used by everyone in France. They also have an active mobile app. Maybe you could try to port it to Italy as we did for Sweden?

If you're looking for a Ruby on Rails project, I can only recommend Decidim, which is a powerful platform for participatory democracy used in hundreds of cities and countries. And it's an awesome community and a really interesting RoR codebase! It's even used in Italy!
