The design assets[1] for the CrateKube GitHub page are independent of the copy[2]. As a result, the copy is not displayed on CrateKube's GitHub page. Additionally, some of the design assets reference Cisco-internal products that are unrelated to CrateKube.
Proposal
To create a fully complete iteration of the CrateKube GitHub page, the design assets need to be merged with the latest version of the CrateKube copy. This will replace all of the Lorem Ipsum text in the design with real information.
Additionally, some of the design assets will need to be removed or modified when they do not apply to CrateKube. For example:
Mentions of "Crate" should be changed to "CrateKube"
Menu items that lead to Crate's status page should be removed
Placeholder text should be removed
This list is not exhaustive, but instead shows the types of things that will need to change before the MVP of this page can be considered complete.
Intended users
All users who wish to know more about CrateKube are likely to find this marketing page useful.
Further details
The design assets for this site were originally created for a Cisco-internal product. As a result, we need to revisit each of the assets to decide whether all of the assets are necessary and/or accurate.
Additionally, each of the pages were designed in a different style to show off the potential options for this design. We will need another issue in the future to capture the work to consolidate our GitHub pages into a single style.
Permissions and Security
None.
Documentation
The primary output of this issue is documentation. There is no need for additional documentation.
How can we measure success?
Not necessary for this iteration.
When is this feature complete?
This feature is complete when:
The CrateKube GitHub page displays the CrateKube marketing copy
Dead links have been removed from the CrateKube GitHub page
The CrateKube GitHub page has been edited to not reference Cisco-internal products
An issue exists to use a consistent design for all CrateKube GitHub pages
Links / references
The marketing copy was created in #1
The design assets were merged in as #4
