What would you like?

Add Windows Server 2025 to the documented list of supported operating systems

Why is this needed?

According to Microsoft's Windows Server major versions by servicing option

  • Windows Server 2025 was released for general availability on Nov 1, 2024
  • Windows Server 2022 continues under "Mainstream support" until Oct 13, 2026
  • Windows Server 2019 has already reached the "Mainstream support end date"

@MikeMcC399 Are you aware of anything functionally that is preventing Cypress from working on Windows Server 2025?

@jennifer-shehane

Are you aware of anything functionally that is preventing Cypress from working on Windows Server 2025?

I don't know of any real long-term show-stoppers, although I imagine it would be convenient to have CircleCI able to provide a runner for testing before declaring on-going support.

Windows Server 2025 support by Cypress

Barriers to support

No Windows Server 2025 machine image available for CircleCI - see CircleCI machine images and Windows Server 2025?

Known issues running core Cypress 13.17.0

According to high level smoke tests: none
