Hello,

Would it be nice to add kind of groups to be able to link devices by room or by type ?
For example all the devices related to energy power surrounded by a big rectangle, another one for the devices located in the parent's room...

Maybe even the possibility to set a color per group ?

Hi there,

You can already build multiple dashboards and have one per room or item type (that's what I do at home). Reacticz was made primarily for smartphones, on which the screen space wouldn't allow for a lot of groups to be visible at the same time anyway. If you use a larger screen, such as a tablet or a desktop, you can also organize the items and leave some white space between the different groups to set them apart.

On the other hand, drawing big rectangles to group items seem like a rather complex feature (especially if we want them to resize in a smart way when the browser window or screen orientation are changing). Making the feature user-friendly is possibly another hidden challenge here as I try to keep Reacticz as simple and straightforward as possible. The same applies to customizing the colors. Unfortunately I don't really have the time to work on something that big at the moment, sorry... but feel free to give it a shot if you do :)
