Pomless multi-project can't find my .product

Is there a way to specify which project the .product file is in? I have the tycho-p2-director-plugin block in the parent pom of a pomless setup. The parent project is the only project with a pom. And the "product" plugin is in a "products" folder of the parent project. I specify in the pom the id of the .product but I get the error:

org.apache.maven.plugin.MojoFailureException: Product with id 'ca.footeware.e4.demo' does not exist in the project

Am I correct in understanding that in my case "the project" above is my parent pom's project and the reactor doesn't look outside that project for the .product?

Root cause is packaging, not reactor scanning. tycho-p2-director-plugin only resolves products against a project packaged eclipse-repository. Your config is in the parent (packaging=pom), and ca.footeware.e4.product is eclipse-plugin. Even ca.footeware.e4.repository under sites/ is eclipse-plugin (inferred from its MANIFEST.MF) there's no eclipse-repository module anywhere in the reactor.

Fix: give one module an explicit .polyglot.pom.tycho with eclipse-repository, then move the tycho-p2-director-plugin config/executions there from the parent.

Thanks for replying. That got rid of the error and marked all goals successful. I still don't get a gzipped product file but I think that's a different problem. I need to read up on pom-less builds more and flesh out the application. Thanks again.
