Create a global limit for the number of series produced by TraceQL metrics. If the number of metrics are trimmed it would be ideal to include a message about the cutoff.

I don't think this needs to be per tenant. Tenants of any size can easily generate extremely high series TraceQL metrics queries.

This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had any activity in the past 60 days.
