to get more force on the wire, in particular when it expands, we should not directly mount it to the rods, but have a strong spring pulling it - when it expands due to temperature increase, it will then be still be taut.
For this, we will experience more bending force on the threaded rod holding it. So maybe extend the thraded rods and have a similar wooden spacer at the bottom of the machine to make the whole set-up more stiff. This has some issues w.r.t. placement of the rod though, as it can't be centered anymore as it would hit the main wheel axle. So it needs to be two parallel rods. Might get complicated; this might also be a non-issue if we had a temperature controlled knife (#2), so maybe we should focus on that,as needed anyway.
