Just a heads-up that microRNA looks like an abandonned package. Maintainership was transferred from Chao-Jen Wong to James F. Reid in 2011 but the latter has never pushed a single commit to the package. Now the package is broken in BioC 3.21 + R 4.5 (see https://bioconductor.org/checkResults/3.21/bioc-LATEST/microRNA/) and, so far, the maintainer has been unresponsive to our repeated notifications. This means that the package is very likely to get deprecated soon.
We strongly suggest that rtracklayer gets rid of its dependency on microRNA ASAP.
