Some time ago, I installed Discord manually via the .deb from their website.
Today I decided to use the Software Manager to uninstall it, as I haven't used it in months (I got tired of the client updates and switched to the web version). I've let it run for over half an hour and there is still a busy spinner in place of the Uninstall button, with "Please be patient. This can take some time..." tooltip text. As far as I can verify with command-line tools, however, everything has been removed that ought to be (aside from some cache files that the .deb manifest presumably wouldn't know about).
I think this may be a regression of #105. While there is no longer a "progress bar" which can "get stuck at 99%", the symptoms appear similar.
