For people who's connections resemble this:

Router ----> [wan] ----> [wlan] ----> Router ---> [internet]

make sure you switch off the firewall on the router connected to the Internet, for some reason I discovered that stratums where randomly disconnecting until I switched it off, my assumption is the firewalls on each router conflict with one another
