Publish Hydrogen to Pulsar Package Repository #2177
Comments
I strongly support this idea. Atom + Hydrogen is a fantastic combination that is part of my daily workflow, but migrating to Pulsar seems inevitable. |
I would also love to see Hydrogen officially come to Pulsar |
+1 |
Yes please! Pulsar + Hydrogen FTW |
I have made a fork of hydrogen and bumped zeromq version. Now hydrogen works in Pulsar and PulsarNext without rebuild. Package is available from Pulsar Package Repository https://web.pulsar-edit.dev/packages/hydrogen-next |
Pull requests are welcome if there are changes. |
It has been a year since Atom's sunset, but the Atom legacy has been picked up by the community and successors have been created. The most prominent of these is Pulsar, with its own package repository.
A Hydrogen is a great package that a lot of poeople have been using for many years, and it's a package that is now in maintained mode. I and many others would be very happy to see Hydrogen officially released in the repository of the best successor to the Atom editor. As far as a package is a core-likefor many people, the idea of Hydrogen fork has been seeded too.
An action is needed to install Hydrogen in Pulsar now.
Best regards, SB
