⚠️ Please check that this feature request hasn't been suggested before.

  • I searched previous Ideas in Discussions didn't find any similar feature requests.
  • I searched previous Issues didn't find any similar feature requests.
  • I am only requesting a single feature. Multiple changes should be split into individual requests, with links between them.
  • I believe my requested feature will be generally applicable to other users, not just me: it is not uniquely tied to my personal workflow.

🔖 Feature description

It's difficult to quickly assess different deadlines and priorities when task descriptions have different lengths. Also, everything seems tidier and more organized when all attributes are at the beginning.

✔️ Solution

The ability to put task attribute emojis at the beginning of the task would greatly help. I would be able to quickly go through all attributes (e.g. look at priorities in a list sorted by date) and decide what I should do next.

❓ Alternatives

The only workaround is to just put the attribute (e.g. the priority emoji) at the beginning, but this doesn't allow sorting by the attribute anymore.

📝 Additional Context

Notice how the priority emoji is part of the description, and the task priority is set to Normal. vv

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I do agree this would be good to do.

We are tracking this already - so please feel free to upvote that issue with 👍:

It's covered in the docs as a known limitation:

There is documentation on how to find tasks with accidentally incorrectly-positioned emoji/attributes - and I run this search on my vault every few days as a precaution:
