Opens website and not desktop app #1

Right now, the app will open the Apple Maps website (https://beta.maps.apple.com) instead of the desktop app (https://maps.apple.com/?q). Would it be possible to have an option to change to the app if wanted?

Considering the website is still in beta and mostly incomplete, I still prefer using the desktop app.
