GPS location wrong on app

Using a t-beam supreme ublox on 2.5.15. The GPS coordinates on the device screen are dead accurate and continuously changing while moving (have verified, checking coordinates on google earth), but the GPS data in the app is not updating. Meshtastic app appears to show data from the device just once on boot, is wrong by a couple kilometres to the north, and then never updates. This appears to have happened after updating from 2.4~ to 2.5. My other t beams, a regular t beam and another t beam supreme, on slightly older firmware are still working perfectly. The problem persists on iOS as well as android. Is there some setting that I’m not aware of that has changed with the update? Precise location is on. Have done full erase and install a couple of times with a few of the newer 2.5 firmwares with the same results

With v2.5 location information sent on the default LongFast channel is automatically fuzzed for security reasons. With the Android app you can change this under chanel settings but, as far as I know, the IOS app doesn't allow that change.
