Google Play Store enforces strict requirements for apps to be listed. This should be a soft requirement for recommending Android applications on Privacy Guides. As an example, Markor, for which there is a PR was rejected from the Play Store because it requires the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission unnecessarily (according to them, anyway). Applications should require the least amount of permissions they need to function, as this can often impact the security and privacy of your files/device. Thoughts? |
