I have been learning and working on different ML projects for a while now. A few months back, I came across sktime while looking for some open-source repos to work on. I really liked the community and how they support new contributors who have little to no experience with open source. Sktime also showed me a totally new aspect of ML—time forecasting, which I had no experience with before. So, I think the mentoring program will help me learn about time forecasting and how I can use DL and ML for this task.
What topics are you working on?
Right now I am working on some forecasters in sktime and pytorch-forecasting:
I am really interested in implementing ML/DL forecasters in sktime and pytorch-forecasting as I think this will deepen my knowledge of Time Forecasting. I also want to learn package maintenance and improve my knowlege of GitHub and Git functions.
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
I would like to continue contributing to sktime and other open source organisations.
