Tags aren't alphabetised #1698
Comments
They are not in random order, they are sorted by how often they are used (by intention). cc @nextcloud/designers |
Is it possible to perhaps provide an option for alphabetical functionality so that it can work the way it is in deck webui? When you're dealing with a large list of tags, constantly having to scroll around looking for the tag (on a mobile device) can be challenging and frustrating. |
I've also labled this as a bug, perhaps I need to change it to enhancement now, since it's by design? |
Alright, I thought about it and an alphabetical order makes more sense than the current implementation. @desperateCoder would you mind changing the aort order of tag proposals? Not sure how assignees are currently handled, but I think they are also sorted by count. Maybe we should adjist that too and always filter by display name. |
Just to push my luck a little while we're digging around the tag code: Would it be possible to add a feature for and-ing tags on the filter search? (rather than just or-ING them) So if you have for example a "todo" tag and a "software" tag. Looking for todo and software gives you cards that only have both, not all todos and all software. Or for my case, if I am filtering for "butter chicken" and ".buy" (. For alphabetising) and "Costco" tags while at Costco it'll show me the missing ingredients for butter chicken that I buy from Costco 😂 (rather than everything that can be baught at Costco and everything I need and everything in butter chicken all at once) Should I make a new request, or is that not technically possible? (because the desktop app doesn't have it.) |
You can open a new issue if you want, but we will likely not implement it until the Deck server app has implemented it. |
