Add 'How to fund a mainnet account' #967
Comments
Hi @jeesunikim! Thanks for the recommendation here. Where do you foresee this going? We do have this guide: https://developers.stellar.org/docs/build/guides/basics/create-account and it directs folks to https://stellar.org/learn/lumens on acquiring lumens from exchanges. I think we could add more specific instructions on that page! I'll work on it. |
Can I work on this issue @briwylde08 |
@Ileolami of course! We can collaborate. |
That's great. How should we do that |
What problem does your feature solve?
Adding an instruction on how to initial fund a stellar account on mainnet. On Stellar, a keypair isn't valid unless it's funded. Some wallets and exchanges like Lobstr and Coinbase fund an account for you if it isn't funded, but not all wallets do that for you so it can cause a confusion among users.
What would you like to see?
Add a description on which wallets and exchanges to use for initial funding on mainnet
What alternatives are there?
