I play using an HD client on a Microsoft Surface Pro 9. The device isn't exactly a powerhouse, but it's always worked.

Before:
I experienced a lot of stuttering in areas like Ungoro and Dalaran.
The FPS ranged from about 25 to 35, but tended to be on the lower end.
In less crowded areas, the FPS was usually between 55 and 62—though there was still a lot of minor stuttering.

After:
In areas like Ungoro or Dalaran, the FPS has stabilized significantly.
The FPS is now consistently at 30 or higher.
In less crowded areas, the FPS is consistently at 60 or higher.
There’s still a bit of stuttering now and then, but overall it’s much better than before.

I also have a powerful gaming PC.
It works just as it should on that one, too.
The FPS is also more stable there, but you notice it much more on the less powerful device.

I find it impressive to see what it can do on less powerful hardware.

До:
Были заметные статтеры в городах, при переходах между зонами и в обычной игре. На встроенной графике это особенно ощущалось.

После:
Игра стала намного плавнее, статтеры почти пропали, FPS стал стабильнее. Даже на Ryzen 5 5625U со встройкой разница очень заметна.

A common issue: the game's older client can't fully utilize the PC's resources; the graphics card is running at 20% capacity, the CPU is idle, and the frame rate is low.

After:
As expected, nothing has changed in 99% of cases; everything remains the same—the FPS still drops to the same levels as before, and there’s no smoothness either before or after. I don't know what kind of “miracles” are happening over there, but the monitoring shows that everything is within the margin of error

Как и ожидалось, ничего не изменилось в 99% случаев, все осталось прежним, фпс все так же падает до тех же значений что и раньше, никакой плавности ни до ни после нету. Не знаю у кого там какие "чудеса" происходят, но мониторинг показывает все на уровне погрешности

I didn't claim that either.
If that's how it came across, I apologize for the misunderstanding.

This tool isn't meant to boost performance or increase FPS.
It just reduces lag spikes, which in turn reduces stuttering. 😉

While there are occasional reports from people saying their FPS has increased, like mine did, it’s only a minimal gain. But that’s not what it’s designed for anyway.

But still, tell me out of curiosity - did you and your friend test the dll on the MoP realm with different offsets than wotlk?

Its rly funny. Cuz MoP haven't such problems like old WotLK. So if use logic, we use it on WotLK Client and WotLK Waramane realm?)

Yeah you ran into same thing as me in #6 (I posted it as an issue as the Discussion tab didn't exist yet back then). If you're already running a clean system like Win7 or heavily debloated Win10 with not much crap running this will have less effect, while users running W11 and bunch of stuff simultaneously might see bigger advantage from things like thread and process priority and overall tightening of functions.
But the core engine problem of low utilization still isn't solved, the creator is clearly skilled in decompilation and investigation as he already found the root cause for combatlog breaking which eluded people for so long. I do think that the utilization problem is solvable, hard to solve, but possible, at which point the improvement would be massive instead of incremental. That is the key to optimizing WoW finding the part of pipeline which stalls when it should be working and make it work, so it wouldnt wait around doing nothing and resulting in low fps.

Скачки фпс в крупных городах с людьим, статтеры и 132 ошибка.

После:
В целом игра стала плавнее, статтеры уменьшелись, дропы фпс в лагаране стали более плавными. На больших бг как будто приятнее поворачивать камерой. Не было ни одного краша за все время использования ( с релизной версии и до текущей)

Before:
Anyone playing on an old client knows its limitations. Long loading screens, occasional stutters, random lag spikes, and sometimes even crashes. The client itself is simply outdated, and without additional optimization it struggles to keep up with modern systems and heavier addon usage.

After:
The improvement was immediately noticeable. Loading times became extremely fast regardless of where I travel in the world, and overall responsiveness feels significantly smoother. Frame pacing feels more consistent, and the client simply behaves more efficiently.
Because of that, I’ve already recommended this optimization to both guilds I currently raid with, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their experience while playing World of Warcraft.

Using: wow_optimize.dll + LuaBoost (LuaBoost did not detection the wow_optimize.dll however)

Before:
After playing for 20min to an hour, experience extreme stuttering. No FPS drops. Happens everywhere in the world.
Restarting game fixes it. I did not have this issue after 1 month of playing, suddenly it started happening. now it happens every time.

After:
No change with wow_optimize.dll + LuaBoost. Same symptons.

Need help identifying what it is that causes my game to stutter so much.

454297 frames over 49 minutes. median 5.20ms, so 192fps. that is why you see no
fps drop. but 11165 of those frames went over 33ms. that is 2.46%, one frame in
41, about four times a second, every second you played. that is your stutter, and
it is not subtle

disable luaboost and test

check the p99 line at the end of each log. that number is the
one to watch, not the average.

try to clean cache folder

try this:

• vsync, both in game and forced in the nvidia control panel
• "max frame rate" and "low latency mode" in the nvidia control panel
• g-sync, if you have it. 192fps on a monitor whose vrr range tops out lower is
  a classic source of exactly this
• fullscreen vs borderless. borderless goes through the desktop compositor
• and if you have any overlay running (afterburner, discord, steam, geforce
  experience), turn all of them off for one test

I still think 33.3ms landing on exactly two refresh intervals is where your answer is

I think i just discovered what the issue is. It's caused by [Hardware Cursor] being enabled. Ascension does announce that the last Nvidia driver and Hardware cursor causes issues.
Appreciate your feedback. Will do another session and upload a log, for you to analyse and compare. Would be interesting.

I think it would also be important to gather the OS version on any bug reports. Windows 11 is dogshit and its desktop compositor combined with driver are cause of lot of issues. In fact the enshittification started in Windows 8 already with its broken compositor and somehow its only gotten worse. Nvidia used to have this awesome feature called NVFBC but they ultimately deprecated it because they got tired of fighting with buggy windows and its bad decisions. Some of the causes of the issues regarding the compositor are explained here in the deprecation notice:

Part of the issue is mentioned there the windows DDI taking control away from drivers and that quote "makes the latency unpredictable". A new Windows 11 "feature" is also something that the high resolution timers cannot be trusted anymore either, making the API calls timeBeginPeriod and its equivalent NtSetTimerResolution no longer function correctly as windows can decide to simply ignore it and do whatever it wants. This also "fullscreen vs borderless. borderless goes through the desktop compositor" hasn't been true since the Win8 desktop compositor, that knowledge is from the good old times where OS still respected its users and application developers, so Win7 and below. Since Win8 there has been no proper fullscreen mode and everything always goes through the compositor. It essentially forces borderless windowed on any app that attempts to use fullscreen exclusive mode, and just attempts to hide the reality from the caller. But hey, if you got a proper fullscreen exclusive mode with complete access to the screen, you couldn't get your xbox game bar and copilot notifications overlays! And how about Microsoft Recall??

I have uploaded a new log - this one is a long session with the [Hardware Cursor] in game setting disabled. No issues with stuttering.

Can you see in the log if that also fixed the frame delay that you previously pointed out.
