Hi all,
Sphinx-Needs is often used for documenting stuff based on (industry specific) process frameworks and standards (like ISO26262 for automotive).
I ask myself if the setup and maintenance of related configurations (e.g. need types and fields) and pages/chapters can be somehow supported by sphinx-needs or related extensions.
Would this be helpful or is it to company/project specific? Do you have any ideas for processes we should support
(rough) Idea for ISO26262 SW DEV
Need types: req, spec, impl, test, test run (okay, mostly already default in sphinx-needs)
Fields: assignee, reporter, priority, due date, component, status
Links: specifies, tests, executed
Pages: requirements.rst, specifications.rst, tests.rst, index.rst (toc and tables), dashboard.rst (some predefined metrics)
Functions per cli script:
Create new project (change conf.py, install files from "Pages" on root)
Create new tool/project/component (put files form "Pages" in a subfolder)
Create templates (copy embedded template files to a folder and allow user to change the files and use them for installation)
