SCRF Community Lead and Social Media Manager Job Description

The Smart Contract Research Forum (SCRF) is hiring a part-time, paid Community Lead and Social Media Manager to join our Community Team. This role will oversee SCRF’s social media accounts, support community event planning, and propose new interactions beyond the SCRF community while engaging with an active international community in our chat.

SCRF Mission

SCRF is a premier, open discourse hub dedicated to web3 advancement with tools in place to amplify the latest quality research, reward contributions, deliver insights, and facilitate industry connections. Composed of an active international community, SCRF connects academic researchers with blockchain innovators to collaborate on solutions.

Role Summary

SCRF is seeking highly motivated individuals who are curious about blockchain technologies and find satisfaction in growing engaged communities. The main focus of the role is to help with community management and create social media.

Responsibilities

The Community and Social Media Manager is expected to:

  • Work closely with the Community team
  • Assist individuals through onboarding
  • Support and plan community events and initiatives
  • Address any questions or concerns raised by community members
  • Help increase community engagement
  • Write social media (Twitter, LinkedIn) copy and share with the team to review
  • Implement discord bots to facilitate more community interaction

Qualifications

SCRF is looking for someone who has a background and interest in media and communications, as well as some level of interest and knowledge in blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

SCRF is looking for candidates who have:

  • Clear communication skills and willingness to use chat, video, and email to coordinate
  • The ability to work with a fully remote, globally distributed team
  • Experience managing social media accounts
  • Experience supporting an online community

Compensation & Logistics

  • Fully remote
  • Hourly pay - negotiable, competitive
  • Part-time (10-15 hours) to start, opportunities to increase with time
  • Compensation in cryptocurrency preferred
