A mechanism is being proposed to give developers control over whether handwriting input should be enabled for elements in user agents that support it.
The current proposal suggests adding a new handwriting keyword to the touch-action CSS property to manage this functionality. This GitHub issue aims to gather feedback and perspectives from various relevant working groups, ensuring that all potential implications of this enablement are considered.
This issue has been cross-posted to the TAG, pointer events, html and editing working groups to get all the relevant voices involved.
The TAG WG post was closed and accepted with the suggestion of opening an issue in this WG to valuable feedback from the most involved and relevant people for this proposal.
