Alright, I got impatient and flashed the modified BIOS, but luckily everything is working :) Interestingly, you can see in the 2nd screenshot that CSM is not disabled, even though I changed the BIOS to only use UEFI. I'll double-check that in a minute though (maybe I missed it?) I'll add to the list, but will likely close this now |

Hey everyone,
I've got a MSI Z270 SLI (not the "Plus" model, although that model is in the success list) and I recently added an Arc B580, so I'm looking into ReBar
I just went through the process outlined here and... it seemed pretty simple? So I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
First, in my BIOS I found the following settings:
"Above 4G memory/Crypto Currency mining" -> [Enabled/Disabled]
"Boot mode select" -> [LEGACY+UEFI/UEFI]
So I think I'm ready to move forward
I downloaded the latest BIOS for my board, E7A59IMS.1A0, ran UEFITool, and patched in ReBarDxe.ffs at the end of the PciBus module
Next, using the provided patches.txt in UEFIPatch I had a successful patch using Windows Powershell (again, just like the guide showed)
I believe now I can flash the modified BIOS using MSI's M-FLASH within the UEFI BIOS
After that flashes successfully, all my BIOS settings should be set to Default again, so I'll do my tweaks (really just turning ON XMP for my RAM) and make sure to Enable Above 4G memory and set Boot mode select to UEFI. Save changes and reboot
The last step is to run ReBarState within Windows and try setting it to 32, right? And if 32 doesn't work, do I just run ReBarState again and try 16, then 8 if that doesn't work?
Sorry for the long post
It's worth noting that I do have a CH341A programmer that I've used to successfully flash the BIOS on another motherboard (twice, actually) but I don't really want to resort to that if I don't have to. Hence, why I'm asking here first
Thanks!
