0.17 measures a scope from where the run starts rather than from the absolute path on disk, which breaks any pattern anchored with a leading
/. This repository had one, covering both prose rules:On 0.17.1 the old pattern matches nothing, so every directory it was meant to exempt fell into scope: 78 violations against a tree that is at zero. The anchored form restores exactly what the comment above it describes.
Verified from both sides, because a scope that matches nothing reports clean the same way a working one does — a planted violation in
AGENTS.mdandREADME.mdis caught, the same violation in.claude/skills/xcode-mcp/SKILL.mdis not. This is #50 fixed at the root rather than papered with a warning: the pattern this repository used to carry named the checkout directory, and that spelling is simply no longer expressible.
Testing
Unit 213/213, hosted 16/16, local. No source touched — the change is the pinned version, its two checksums, and one anchor.
