Hi, I'm Aum Sohoni 👋

QA Automation Engineer in progress — building test suites in Playwright/TypeScript, backend skills in C#/.NET, and exploring how AI fits into modern testing workflows. Based in Riga, Latvia.

🎯 What I'm doing right now

  • 🔭 Building automated test frameworks with Playwright + TypeScript — covering E2E, API, cross-browser, and accessibility testing
  • 🛠️ Growing backend skills in C#/.NET, EF Core, and PostgreSQL to better understand the systems I test
  • 🤖 Exploring AI-augmented QA — using AI to triage test failures, and learning to test AI-powered features (RAG pipelines)
  • 🎓 Finishing a Bachelor's in Computer Systems (Information & Communication Technologies) at Riga Technical University — graduating February 2027

🧭 Background

My path here isn't the typical one, and I think that's an advantage:

  • Real-world B2B experience: I've worked in sales development and business development roles (SDR, BDR, and BDM positions), managing CRM pipelines of 1,000+ prospects and building outbound systems from scratch — which gave me a genuine understanding of how software actually gets used by real people and businesses.
  • Technical foundation: before that, I worked as a Unity developer across three roles (intern, game programmer, creative developer), which is where my programming foundation in C# comes from.

Now I'm bringing both together — technical depth with an understanding of the business side of software.

Techmart QA Automation Framework An end-to-end QA automation framework built on a sample e-commerce app — 99 automated tests across auth, cart, checkout, product browsing, and accessibility, with full API coverage, cross-browser testing (Chromium/Firefox/WebKit), Page Object Model architecture, and a CI/CD pipeline via GitHub Actions. Includes a full QA documentation set: risk-based test plan, manual test cases, and setup guides.
