Hi The Forge team,
Now that WebGPU has become more widely available across modern browsers and native implementations such as Dawn, I wanted to ask about The Forge’s current position on WebGPU support.
I noticed the separate The-Forge-WebGpu repository based on Release 1.58, but I couldn’t find any recent discussion or roadmap in the main repository. Is WebGPU still something the team is interested in supporting officially, either as a native Dawn backend or as a browser/WebAssembly target?
If it is planned, is there any rough timeline or set of requirements before it could be merged into the main branch? If not, it would also be helpful to understand whether WebGPU is considered out of scope for The Forge’s current direction.
