Whenever you import a custom villager (made with Custom Villager Creator or otherwise) larger than the maximum size that can be stored in an e+ save file (1851 bytes) it will not insert the actual yaz0 data into the file, but will still say "villager imported successfully!" in the editor. When loading the new villager in-game they will appear as a black, textureless cat.
To reproduce:
- Take any custom villager .yaz0 file larger than 1.8 kB, like this one: big villager yaz0.zip
- Attempt to import it into an e+ save. It will say "villager imported successfully!"
- Load up the game and find the newly added villager. They will have the correct name, personality, and catchphrase, but otherwise will appear as a black, textureless cat.
Also PS to anybody who wants villagers larger than 1.8 kB: if you use a file binary editor and directly insert the yaz0 file at the right spot in the save (and recompute the checksum), it will still load properly in game. Just be careful to not insert another custom villager that overlaps with the big villager's yaz0 data!
