Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • PHP 7.4+ (or the latest version)
  • MySQL (or MariaDB)
  • Composer (if using Laravel)
  • NPM or Yarn for managing frontend dependencies

Installation

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/CyberTrendHub.git
    cd CyberTrendHub
  2. Install Dependencies:

    • Composer for PHP:

      composer install
    • NPM for frontend assets:

      npm install
  3. Set Up the Database:

    • Create a MySQL database for CyberTrendHub.
    • Import the provided cybertrendhub.sql file (located in the database directory) to set up the necessary tables.
  4. Environment Configuration:

    • Create a copy of .env.example and rename it to .env.

    • Update the .env file with your database credentials and other environment settings:

      DB_CONNECTION=mysql
      DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
      DB_PORT=3306
      DB_DATABASE=cybertrendhub
      DB_USERNAME=root
      DB_PASSWORD=your_password
      
  5. Generate Application Key (if using Laravel):

    php artisan key:generate

Configuration

  1. Environment Variables:

    • Define variables in the .env file for app settings, such as the application URL, database credentials, and API keys for payment gateways.
  2. Payment Gateways:

    • Configure PayPal and Stripe by adding their API keys to the .env file.

Usage

  1. Start the PHP Development Server:

    php artisan serve
  2. Access the Application:

    • Open http://localhost:8000 in your browser to access the CyberTrendHub site.
