Github has been there for me, through thick and thin. However, Github made some changes that I really do not agree with regarding their AI training. This decision was not easy at all, however given the nature of the severity of the issue, I am forced to take action.
Github will default to allowing public repositories to be scanned and used to train Copilot. I am seriously not a fan of this at all, as I feel that others may be able to use a variant of my code without my permission.
I mean, all of my current projects that I have currently on the site will stay up I guess... I mean, it's unfortunately too late since all my stuff is probably being used for training. However, future projects will not be hosted here.
I will go to Codeberg, and I will post all my projects there. I love y'all, and thank you for the support.
