OPTA pin definitions missing

There are some pin definitions which are missing and lead to compilation errors:

• LED_D0 ... - LED_D3, LED_USER, LED_RESET, LEDR
• BTN_USER

Is there another way to use the microcontroller pin directly, e.g (PI_0 instead of LED_D0) ?

But have done a reasonable amount of testing and implementing stuff on other STM327... processors on Zephyr:

Looking at overlay file in the variant, I see:

The items in this list are typically initialized to be GPIO pins, starting at pin 0...
So your PI_0 is digital pin 4, so pinMode(4, OUTPUT); digitalWrite(4, HIGH);

At some different times, I have implemented, the ability to manipulate GPIO pins using pin names.
I can dig one up if you need one...

Hi Kurt,
I tried out but the results are very confusing:
LED_D0 (PI_0) is pin 7 (instead of the suggested pin 4)
LED_D1 (PI_1) is pin 9
LED_D2 (PI_3) is pin 8
the other LED pins I can't figure out, I will try out the other pins for Relay Outputs in the Inputs.

For what it is worth, I hacked up my own semi-support library, that allows me to use pin names on the Zephyr STM32 based boards.

With it you should be able to do things like:

pinMode(PI_0, OUTPUT);
digitalWriteFast(PI_0, HIGH);

Note: I have only implemented "Fast" versions of the digitalWrite, Read, (and toggle) that work at the STM32 GPIO register
level and do not go through the calls to Zephyr.

But this is unofficial and not supported, other than I have done this as to be able to access of the GPIO pins on the Portenta H7
As they have only defined the IO pins for those pins on the exterior of the H7 plus a LEDs and one enable pin. They have not
defined any of the other pins on the carrier connectors, so on Carriers like the Mid, or Breakout or Hat, you can only use a small
subset of the IO pins.
