Pantheon Holo

Pantheon Holo is a local HUD (Heads-Up Display) and dashboard for the Pantheon agent system.

It acts as a visual frontend that bridges your interaction with the agents. Specifically, it performs two main functions:

  1. Command Dispatching: Posts slash commands to an existing Discord #commands webhook, which are then picked up by n8n.
  2. Vault Rendering: Renders everything the agents write directly from your local Obsidian vault in real-time, providing full documents without Discord's truncation limits.

Resiliency by Design: If this app goes down or is deleted, nothing breaks. The core Discord + Obsidian workflow remains a complete, working interface.

Key Features

  • Command Bar (⌘K): Quickly issue commands to agents (e.g., /joshie, /mimi xprize). Autocomplete is driven by the configuration.
  • Agent Nodes: Interactive nodes to view an agent's latest vault output. Features auto-expansion and real-time updates.
  • Todos Manager: Parses and manages _todos/todos.md natively. Checking a box atomically rewrites that specific line in your vault.
  • Approval Queue: A sweep view for the approval-queue/ folder. Manage approvals, discards, and direct edits natively.
  • Activity Feed: A live #bot-logs view of command echoes, file arrivals, and system errors.
  • Holographic UI: Features a 3D gridded globe using React Three Fiber with multiple selectable themes.

Prerequisites

To run Pantheon Holo, you will need:

  • Node.js (v18+)
  • npm (comes with Node.js)
  • A local Obsidian Vault where your agents write their output.
  • A Discord Webhook URL for your #commands channel.

Installation & Setup

  1. Clone and Install Dependencies: Navigate to the project directory and install the necessary npm packages:

    cd ~/Developer/pantheon-holo
    npm install
  2. Environment Configuration: Configure your local environment variables in .env.local:

    • VAULT_PATH: The absolute path to your Obsidian vault. (Note: If VAULT_PATH is exported in your ~/.zshrc, it will take precedence over .env.local).
    • DISCORD_COMMANDS_WEBHOOK_URL: Paste your Discord webhook URL here. (To get this in Discord: Channel Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook → Copy Webhook URL).

Running the Application

You can start the development server using npm:

cd ~/Developer/pantheon-holo
npm run dev

Alternatively, use the provided launcher script:

~/Developer/pantheon-holo/pantheon

Once running, open http://localhost:3000 in your browser. (Check the terminal output if port 3000 is already in use, as it will assign another port).

Configuration

All agent-specific configuration (names, watched folders, commands, accent colors, transport layers) lives in pantheon.config.ts. If you add a new agent, update their commands, or tweak their visual accent, that is the single source of truth.

Troubleshooting

The application is designed to be highly resilient with no databases, accounts, or cron jobs. State lives entirely in your Obsidian vault.

Symptom Meaning Fallback
"Vault unreachable" iCloud sync issue or disk access error Discord + Obsidian still work; check iCloud sync status
"Webhook not configured" .env.local webhook URL missing or revoked Type the command in Discord #commands directly
"No response yet..." n8n didn't run or didn't write Check n8n executions; the command reached Discord
App won't start Node/npm issue Ignore the app entirely; agents are independent

Roadmap

  • Phase 1 (Current): Discord webhook transport for command issuance.
  • Phase 2: Advanced 3D interactions, boot sequence animations, and per-node new-output pulses.
  • Phase 3: Web Speech push-to-talk integration (VoiceProvider).
  • Phase 4: Direct n8n-webhook and anthropic-direct MCP passthrough transports.
