Closes #13.

Changes

  • ci.yml now has a concurrency group keyed on workflow and ref with cancel-in-progress: true, so a new push to a PR cancels the run it replaces. release.yml keeps its existing serialized, non-cancelling release group, so a release is never cut off halfway.
  • ci.yml skips runs whose changes are all documentation: root *.md, docs/**, examples/**/*.md, the package READMEs, the LICENSE files and .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/**. The patterns are listed explicitly rather than as **/*.md because paths-ignore does not support negation, and a changeset-only change (.changeset/*.md) still has to trigger CI. Workflow files are not ignored.
  • Every job now has timeout-minutes (15 for the check matrix, 20 for release).

Branch protection does not require status checks today, so a run skipped by paths-ignore cannot block a merge. If required checks are turned on later, the filter needs to move to a job-level if so the required check still reports.
