1. How The Tool Came to Be

Dan Sabin edited this page Jan 19, 2018 · 1 revision

In a past life I started a large ambitious project to change how people sent emails. It's a service no one will ever see, but highly likely it's actually sent you an email or two. Now in my current life without access to this now much larger than me project I felt like was back to square one forced to use tools that led to error prone workflows and hours and hours of QA. I say this lightly because QA'ing emails is not really straightforward.

This tool was born from an aim to alleviate the tensions within my own team regarding emails. Our workflow was failing so often it started impacting how we interacted with each other. It wasn't possible to rebuild the service I had left behind mostly because I haven't worked there for years and there is literally a team of people dedicated to it at this point. However this tool was do-able as one person team with a budget of a few hours. If you find it useful please feel free to give me feedback. If you find it doesn't meet your needs also feel free to let tell me. I will gladly accept or make changes as users and contributors see fit.
