Reader’s Studio consolidation is merged but has not had a tagged release. This prepares 0.3.0 as the first GitHub source release for the renamed Reader app, records the security and dependency baseline, and corrects the documented browser speech controls.
The release includes the changes merged in #74: removal of persistent server-generated audio, migration to the current Google GenAI plugin, authenticated and bounded text repair, enforceable lint and type checks during builds, and accurate PDF support documentation.
Validation on Node 22.23.2:
npm run format:checknpm run lintnpm run typechecknpm test -- --coverage— 30 passed, 2 skippednpm run buildwith safe mock configuration/and/manifest.webmanifestreturned 200/opt/homebrew/bin/actionlint .github/workflows/*.ymlnpm audit --omit=dev— 0 critical, 14 high, 55 moderate, 2 low; no compatible lockfile-only fix availableAn independent review covered the full diff from
78f0236through release candidate162e2f4and concluded it is release-ready after the README correction included here. This repository has no configured hosting or deployment target, so 0.3.0 is a tagged GitHub source release rather than a live application deployment.
