ImageMagick

I am using ImageMagick and below is a list of the commands I have used to create the different "new" icons.

Commands

Create the "bullet" files (caution: this replaces the original file):

mogrify -resize 8x8 *.png

Add "bullets" to an icon:

composite -geometry +8+8 "8x8/bullet.png" "icon.png" "icon_bullet.png"
composite -geometry +6+6 "10x10/bullet.png" "icon.png" "icon_bullet.png"

"Colorize" an image to another color:

convert icon.png +level-colors red, icon_red.png

Convert between image types:

convert icon.gif icon.png

Batch convert all PNG files to GIF:

mogrify -format gif *.png

"Fade" an icon (see scripts/fade.php):

php fade.php -f *.png

Generate montage images:

montage -geometry +4+4 *.png montage.png
