Description

⚠️ This issue respects the following points: ⚠️

  • This is not a troubleshooting question, general support matter, or webserver/proxy problem, but likely a bug (if unsure, ask the Community Help Forum).
  • This issue is not already reported on Github OR solved at the Community Help Forum (I've searched!).
  • I'm using a maintained major version of Nextcloud Server and tested against the latest patch level. (Supported major versions and current patch levels).
  • I agree to follow Nextcloud's Code of Conduct.
  • I've tried my best to provide clear reproduction steps that someone unfamiliar with this bug could use to reproduce it.

Bug description

"Nextcloud Office" a.k.a "Euro Office" (office app) is the new default office app and forcing installation during fresh installs, thus breaking "Collabora built-in CODE" (richdocumentscode app) document server which in turn causes "Nextcloud Office (Collabora)" (richdocumentsapp) to fail.

workaround: until this is fixed upstream, simply remove Nextcloud Office a.k.a "Euro-Office" (office app):

sudo nextcloud.occ app:disable office

Assuming this will happen equally on bare-metal, AIO and Docker fresh installs as the same wizard is started.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Fresh install Nextcloud snap sudo snap install nextcloud
  2. Start fresh install wizard --> https://github.com/nextcloud-snap/nextcloud-snap/wiki/install-Nextcloud-snap
  3. Check Nextcloud Office (Collabora)

see https://github.com/nextcloud-snap/nextcloud-snap/wiki/Configure-CODE-and-Nextcloud-office-for-Nextcloud-snap#nextcloud-office-aka-euro-office-office-app-breaks-nextcloud-office-richdocuments-app-and-built-in-collabora-code-richdocumentscode-app

Expected behavior

There should be a defined single default office-suite... at this time built-in CODE richdocumentscode is still default including Nextcloud office (Collabora) richdocuments, but Nextcloud office office breaks built-in CODE richdocumentscode
