Can the compatibility versions be increased?

Thanks for reporting! We'll work on it. In the meantime, feel free to dev the Pkg and manually bump compat bounds in the Project.toml if this is blocking.

The CUDA v6 has been a breaking release; however, I think the only thing now still holding back the compatibility update is the CellArrays dependency. So if you are not using this functionality, you can without problems follow Ludovic's suggestion for now.
