Rescue could hand back paginated progress without the completed Codex review. It now launches one tracked background job, polls a compact status for that exact ID, retrieves bounded slices of the authoritative final output, and returns the entire report. Timeout continues waiting on the same job; failures are explicit. The parent also retrieves every page of a paginated Agent return.

The detached worker waits for its PID-bearing queued record to be persisted before execution. This prevents fast completion from being overwritten by the launcher and preserves queued cancellation. Release is bumped to 1.0.7.

Validation: 98 tests pass, including real subprocess coverage for immediate completion, timeout recovery, long Unicode final output, queued cancellation, startup abort, persistence failure and task errors. Build, version consistency, native Claude plugin validation and fresh Ponytail review pass. A live cross-host model handback is a separate validation boundary.
