Multipart::parse_content_disposition() returned a ladder of bare negative integers (-1 .. -19, plus -99 for a caught exception) and the only consumer printed the number into REQBODY_ERROR_MSG and the debug log, so users saw "Invalid Content-Disposition header (-7)" with no hint of what -7 means. Introduce the ContentDispositionError enum in multipart.h with one named value per failure and contentDispositionErrorMessage() to describe it. The numeric values stay the same as ModSecurity v2 so existing log matching keeps working; the message now reads "Invalid Content-Disposition header (-7: end of header after opening quote): ...". -15 was returned for three different conditions (closing quote not found, duplicate filename, duplicate filename*). The duplicates get their own codes, -20 and -21, so each value means one thing. The regression tests that pinned the old numbers are updated accordingly. Part of owasp-modsecurity#3655. m.setvar is a lua_CFunction, so its return value is the number of results it pushed on the Lua stack. Returning -1 on argument errors is not an error code there; it asks Lua to pop a negative number of results. Return 0 after logging the problem, which is what the function did on success anyway. Adds a regression test that calls m.setvar with one argument and checks the script finishes and the error is logged. Part of owasp-modsecurity#3655. msc_tree.cc returned -1 from six places where the descriptive message
from v2 was still a commented-out apr_psprintf() call, so a bad entry
in @ipMatch failed with no reason. The error_msg out-parameter was a
char ** that nothing ever filled and the callers never freed.
Change the out-parameter to std::string * and set the messages
("IPmatch: could not add entry "x" from: ...", bad IPv4/IPv6
specification, allocation and tree initialisation failures). IpTree
passes its caller's std::string straight through, so the message now
reaches the parser error.
Adds a regression test for @ipMatch with an invalid entry.
Part of owasp-modsecurity#3655.

- Line 3: Update the script’s return value after m.setvar to a nonempty value so
Lua::run can distinguish normal completion from a script error; keep the
invalid-call test behavior unchanged.

its match affects the expected test outcome: make the request fail when the
variable is missing or incorrect, while preserving the existing debug-log
assertion for the argument error.

…nges The script now returns a value so a normal return is distinguishable from a script error, and the final rule denies with 500 if the invalid m.setvar call touched TX.lua_set_var. Content-Dispositionerror codes get names and messages.parse_content_disposition()now returns values of a newContentDispositionErrorenum (src/request_body_processor/multipart.h), and the consumer printscontentDispositionErrorMessage(rc)next to the number. Users now seeinstead of
(-7). The numeric values are unchanged from v2 so existing log matching keeps working.-15used to be returned for three different conditions; duplicatefilenameand duplicatefilename*now have their own codes (-20,-21). The regression tests that pinned the old strings are updated.m.setvarreturns0instead of-1on argument errors. It is alua_CFunction, so the return value is the number of results pushed, not an error code. New regression case incollection-lua.json.@ipMatchtree helpers report why they failed.msc_tree.cchad sixreturn -1sites whose messages were still commented-outapr_psprintf()calls from v2, and thechar **error_msgwas never filled or freed. Switched tostd::string *and restored the messages, so a bad entry now fails rule loading withIPmatch: could not add entry "999.999.999.999" from: .... New regression case inoperator-ipMatchFromFile.json.why
See #3655. Bare negative integers were leaking into user-facing error text with nothing describing them, and two of the sites were not error codes at all.
