When I take a photo with the camera app and tap the thumbnail, Android shows a bottom sheet with available gallery apps. Memories isn't on that list. The same thing happens when opening images through "Open with" in a file manager or selecting a photo from a share sheet.
The app just isn't registered as a gallery app on the system level.
Describe the solution you'd like
When I tap a photo thumbnail in the camera app, Memories should appear in the list of gallery apps available. Selecting it would open and display that photo directly.
I'd also like to be able to set Memories as my default gallery app and have it work like any other gallery app when opening photos from file managers, share sheets, etc.
Describe alternatives you've considered
None really – Could leave it as-is and only launch it from the home screen, but that defeats the purpose of having a gallery app.
Additional context
The app already has all the infrastructure needed — WebView viewer, ExoPlayer for videos, local image loading. It just needs the system-level registration so Android knows it can handle image/video viewing.
