Python Calendaring Ecosystem

The Python Calendaring Ecosystem (PCE) team is a collection of free and open source libraries that implement the iCalendar, CalDAV, and JMAP standards for reading, writing, and synchronizing calendar data. Calendaring applications that depend on the Python calendaring ecosystem can create alarms, schedule one-time or recurring events, invite attendees, and perform other calendaring tasks. In this project several new libraries will be introduced for JMAP calendar support, protocol-agnostic sync, and Django integration. Together the packages icalendar, python-caldav, recurring-ical-events, and open-web-calendar form the foundation of calendar support for a broad range of Python applications.

The PCE is funded through NGI Zero Core and the NGI Zero Commons Fund, funds established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission's Next Generation Internet program. Our NLnet grants: Open Web Calendar Stack, Open Web Calendar Stack II and Python Calendaring Ecosystem. Learn more on the PCE website.
